BIO
Roberta Cervelli was born in Rome, where she was able to cure and nurture an artistic research started in an art institute and evolved towards a training program aimed at painting at the Free Academy of Fine Arts in Rome. Unconditional passion and dedication towards art and design have first approached the furniture sector, designing interiors and creating furniture made in limited edition. A professional experience looking for taste and style, a stimulus towards creativity. Later she returned to express herself with the painting, trying to unite and deepen research and memory. After a figurative season, she began to communicate through abstractionism in her different hues and likeness, she painted and narrated hes inner landscapes, she experienced the different expressive potential of the materials she adds.
Her works are today the site of an experimentation based on the use of extra painting elements, with interventions that lead to shape the supports where masses of full and empty are measured and refer to each other. The use of every possible recycling material, such as paper, wood, gauze, metal, plastic and all that modern man considers dead and discarded, is seen as a noble object, a bearer in itself of a story worthy of being narrated.
Her works are in private collections in Italy, England, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Croatia, Nederland, Singapore, Japan, United States (Arizona, Los Angeles, Boston, Washington), United Arab Emirates, Canada.
